I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HTML...AT ALL

I am a fool when it comes to HTML. I know nothing about it. If you need evidence of this fact, just scroll down a bit and you'll see a free playlist that I slapped onto this weblog. It is red and it hangs out over the side of the, well, sidebar, and it looks like shit and Jimmy cracked corn and I don't give a flying shit. It looks like a 9-year-old was pounding away on the keyboard, but...Jimmy cracked corn, and all of that.

I tend towards perfectionism, so this abhorent display of "tweaking" the web site has my nose hairs curdling. If I looked in the mirror, I'd probably see steam coming out of my ears.

So...am I just a dummy or is this shit actually as difficult as I make it out to be? I think the former, unfortunately.

Maybe I need to change the type of template that I have. It is called a template, right? The screen around which I juggle letters of the alphabet and punctuation marks and sometimes numbers? Does anyone know what I did wrong?

I do have to change the template, don't I? I have to find a template that will accept this somewhat wide "playlist" thing.

Times of Archa, take me away!
Take me back to the time in which dudes with low brows and animal pelts for clothing chiseled shit onto stone tablets. Take me back to the quill and ink. Take me back to ballpoint pens, for Christ's sake (rice wine).

This binary jungle has me flummoxed.

Oh well. I hope that you like Hendrix and Mozart, Mega Death and Clapton.

LOL .. Dude .. in Camino that thing covers your post. I read it in Google Reader and when I clicked on that blog title I saw the player.

There might be somewhere in the html that you can change the size to make it fit on your sidebar.

ummm... html? Couldn't care less about that kind of stuff, but Baha Men? "Who let the dogs out"?

I imagine you putting it on and then it's Dogs Gone Wild!

Great song, I think I've still got the single lying around...

Chiseling shit? Reminds me of the last time I cleaned the yard, trying to chip dogshit out of the snow. Thanks for the memory!

There should be a way to resize it somewhere. Maybe take it off and when you go to add it in again, look for something size-related?

This sort of html cluelessness runs in the family, so I'm afraid that's the best I can offer.

Now it's gone entirely!

Jay: I tried to change the size but couldn't find anything, so I just scrapped the whole damn thing and changed templates. :-P

Corwin: Baha Boys. Classic, huh? ;-)

Missy: About the memory: no problema! =oD I changed the blog template. It seemed the easiest way, though I did like the "scribe" layout. Oh well. 'Tis all the same, eh?

I thought I took a wrong turn in Nebraska.

You could always go back to your old template and put the widget link right below your header, that way it can be as wide as my ass and still fit.

Or you could go in and manually reset the size of your margins, but that requires some work.

Thanks for the tunes. :)

:) HTML is a bit confusing at times....but you needn't have changed your profile (as nice as it is!). If you tweak with the percetnages on the main body of text you should be able to make it wider and smaller. That's how I did mines.

The next class I take will be a computer class. Ha, just the fact that you got it on your blog is an accomplishment!
I wish I could figure out how to put one of those catchy-sexy-type-headings to my blog with a picture-you know what I mean?
*goes off to play with her blog*

Nighthawk: Oh, I don't know...this new look is growing on me. Plus? The settings and shit are a lot easier to work with on this template. It's kinda just click and drop. =o)

Bunny: I think I'll leave the percentages "untweaked." Maybe later, if I'm feeling ambitious, I'll go back and mess around with it. Probably not, though. ;-)

Meegie: You inspired me. I saw it on your blog and thought, "Hell, that'd be nice on mine, too!"

Fumbling: I take it that you like U2? =o) I tend to agree. They're smooth as silk, for the most part.

I think the layout looks good, I was surprised when I came "in" here and it was different. html and css are a royal pain in my ass....I don't blame you for complaining!

Obviously I don't either. I tried to 'freshen' mine up and it looks like shit.
