OATMEAL

I wonder about my brain-power, sometimes. I wonder if, perhaps, too many hops and too many barleys conspired to drain my Einstein of elasticity.

Case in point: I had this picture of Lou up in Adobe Photoshop. There was a glare coming from the Saturday morning-light zapping in from the window, obscuring the image on the monitor. I, for about five minutes, did what I was doing with the picture, all the while craning my neck to counteract the glare. It was a pain in the ass, not to mention an increasing pain in the neck. I just can't see it! I was thinking to myself. Eventually, I angled the monitor two inches to the right.

No glare. If I stay true to this kind of cutting-edge thinking, I just might yet gain tenure at Harvard.

Haha! Totally something my husband would do! He'd probably be bitching at me to close the blinds first though...instead of actually turning the monitor. Last night he was on the phone with X-Box and I'd already given him and pen and paper to write down a phone number...mind you he WAS on a cordless phone...then I hear him talking and asking me for a pen (again) I was fixing dinner and said, "Get your own damn pen, I already gave you one!" He scowled at me and found the pen. "Duh...it's a cordless phone and you're two feet from the desk!" Men... :)

Not ALL men have the "L" as their middle initial, T-zah. But a lot of us do...how else to explain Innovation? Makes everything easier! ;-)

Ha! If it will make you feel any better, sigh, I might, yes might have done something similar. And, I have nothing to blame other than the fact that common sense sometimes escapes me. :D

Last summer I rearranged the "office" and when winter came along I suddenly had a glare coming from the window that hadn't been there when the computer was on a different wall. It took more than two months before I suddenly realized I could put curtains up over the blinds and it would get rid of the glare.

I'm not all that sharp. ;-)

I'll try to remember that, Terry. :-)

Common sense is a bitch to corral, Nighthawk, isn't it? And i think, in this case, Nan, "might" and "may" are virtually interchangable. According to my trusty dictionary, *might* is used "to indicate a condition contrary to fact, a possibility weaker than *may*, or to express a higher degree of politeness than *may*." Whatever the hell that means. I reckon it means that you should use "might," seeing as how w're all friends, here. =o)

I think we're all like that, to a certain degree, Jay. Unfortuantely, we can't *all* be MacGyvers.

I was having the same problem just this A.M.! I was getting pissed too!! My husband came out to my bitching and cursing and asked me what the prob was. Im going on and on about the glare on the screen yada yada... (btw I never use this computer but mine is down) My hubsand very calmly turns the monitor slightly and pulls the blinds, kisses me on the forehead and actually has the balls to say " Im glad to see that graduate degree we're still paying off is coming in handy". What an asshat!! :)

I feel your pain Adam!

Haha, Jennifer. =o] Can't fault the guy too much, though. He's supposed to be a bit snarky, right?

He is so cute. And it could have been worse. You could have thought the glare was from the picture.
