IN THREES...

Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and the King of Pop.

Damn. It always seems to work that way, doesn't it?

McMahon was 86 and Farrah had cancer, but Michael Jackson? He was only 50 or so. He left the life as strangely as he led it, apparently. My thoughts are that the stressors of his life (the fame, the fall from grace) finally had their way with his body. But, who knows?

It is strange, though, how the Trifecta of Famous Deaths always seems to be dead-on.

Um. No pun intended?

My jaw literally dropped when I saw Michael Jackson had died.

Yeah, it always seems to come in threes. As soon as I heard about Michael Jackson, that thought immediately came to mind.

I wonder who won the suicide pool this week?

missy: i was shocked, too. for sure. he--i always had thought, i think, that he'd have passed away quietly at 76 or so. scandals aside, the guy was a great musician and an innovator. i have laughed at mj jokes, sure, but i recognized that the man was special. freaky but special. what an eulogy! you're missed, mike. not necessarily by me, but by hundreds of millions of fans (whojumpedonthebandwagon20yearslate)

sullY: great minds think alike. (mediocre minds sometimes fart against each other) :-P gooooooooooooo...softball! =) hope your boys are doing well.

girl: EXACTLY. i was just talking to someone yesterday about the three-thing and i was saying to him, who'll be next? never in a hundred years would i have thought of sweet little abc mikey. but. and so it goes....

Mike was a genius, aint it strange how human beings cant appreciate people properly till they're gone?

Great catchin up on your blog bro.

I remembered to pay it forward in Swaziland btw ;) There was a guy who had been fired from his job and was waiting at a little carwash for days, literally with no money, for someone to give him a ride into the capital city so he could see his family.

The capital is a few hours away from Siteki and it was pretty unlikely that someone would give him a lift that far...

So I gave him the bus fare in your name bro ;)

Was Just a few rand, but for him it was a new start. A reminder that someone, somewhere cared.

Bless you brother for your presence in this world,

M
